AUTORITRATTO | MATTEO MESSORI
Autoritratto (2022) by Matteo Messori is the site specifc project hosted by Luogo Pazzesco, Metronom's internal courtyard where installations by young artists are presented. From 21 March 2023 it is possible to see the artwork of Messori in which painting and sculpture merge to trace a definition of the complexity of human nature.
With a practice that does not favor a single language but rather searches for a hybrid area in which sculpture and painting can meet, Messori creates Autoritratto. A series of ceramic tiles of different sizes due to the various breaks, are held together by the pictorial trait that characterizes the artist. A blue line runs through the various fragments uniting them in a new and organic image.
