On the occasion of Shibuya 2-Chrome Art Project started the 1st December 2021, the artist Kenta Cobayashi shows his latest work Sneakers (Insectautomobilogy) on the temporary enclosure at the site of a complex facility under construction in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Sneakers is a series that takes into consideration the relationship between human, social system and the present consumism. The sinuous beauty of cars and sneakers is one of the aesthetic values of modern technologhy, Cobayashi analyzes these processes giving rise to digital collages of images found on online acutions on sites such as StockX.com
