Metronom presents Doorway Effect, a personal online exhibition dedicated to Kenta Cobayashi on view on the Artsy profile of the gallery. On the platform it will be possible to see artworks of the Japanese artist in which reality is investigated through a photograph that becomes painting and rewriting of the image itself. Doorway Effect will be visible on Artsy until March 18, 2023.
Kenta Cobayashi's practice lies on the doorstep between photography and painting: his abstract subjects and the digital dilatation presents images of reality that can't be registered exclusively in photography, rather he pushes the viewer in unexplored places where genres find new forms of hybridization. Doorway Effect is a collection of artworks where Cobayashi blurs the borders between traditional techniques and new digital tools.
