Curating art, narrating reality.
A place where creativity and research meet.
Here are our projects:
Framed Memories is a series deeply connected to the different places and cultural contexts in which it developed. The project began in 2009 and was completed in 2014, gradually expanding through the research and collection of materials in various cities – Berlin, Onomichi (Japan), Florence, Bangkok and Paris – each of which is dedicated a specific series.
The project starts with found photographs, for example from flea markets, which the artist selects and recontextualises through a process of reframing. The images are then framed, with captions, names or dates originally written on the back of the photographs reproduced on the frames.
Martina della Valle (Florence, Italy, 1981) works with images, situations and photography. Her artistic practice is grounded in the fundamentals of photographic technique, often combining traditional analogue processes with new digital media.
