Andrea Pertoldeo (b.1971, Udine). Lives and works in Venice. 

 

Andrea Pertoldeo is a photographer, professor at the Iuav University of Venice and, together with Stefano Graziani founder and scientific manager of the Iuav Master in Photography. For several years he was Guido Guidi's teaching assistant at the Degree in Visual Arts. Together with Angela Vettese, Stefano Graziani and Amedeo Martegani he curated the photography part of Artefiera 2017 and at Artefiera 2018 he curated the galleries of the Photo section. In 2017 he published Blue Dust, a book on modifying the landscape of the Bahrain desert through a specific human condition. He recently worked for the Canadian Ministry of Culture on the Canadian Pavilion of the Venice Biennale and for research on the closed Churches of Venice with Sara Marini. He has published his photographs in various international magazines such as Aperture, Genda, Domus, Domus China, Domus Russia, Casabella, The Plan, AIT, Goya, Territorio, Arabian Design, Compasses, Vesper.
