Martina della Valle | UNEXPECTED NEIGHBORS
On the occasion of the third edition of Photo Vogue Festival, which takes place in Milan from November 15th to 18th 2018, Metronom presents at NonostanteMarras UNEXPECTED NEIGHBORS, a solo show by Martina della Valle, curated by Marcella Manni
UNEXPECTED NEIGHBORS collects and traces the fundamental points of the research of Martina della Valle, combining the latest series of works that reflect on the themes of the city mapping, through the recovery of urban vegetation and the relationship between the inhabitants and the nature of the territory.
One flower, one leaf, the most recent series of works by the artist, is an archive in progress of photographic still-life of Ikebana compositions; Wabi-Sabi, the other collection of works presented, is a collection of small diptychs of contact prints, obtained without any intervention from some black and white negatives depicting floral arrangements, found during a journey by the artist in Japan.
