METRONOM

Thursday March 28th from 6.30 pm, as focus on the exhibition In the Woods the Waterfall is Rushing by TILO&TONI, Metronom presents the projection of the artist video Ohio #13, produced by "Ohio Photomagazine".

The screening is preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition, with a focus on the practice and research of the young German duo.

This unites the research carried out by the Ohio project with the artistic practice of TILO & TONI, which can be traced back to a similar principle of appropriation of images, taken from different and often disconnected contexts, and re-contextualized to open up new dimensions of meaning and aesthetics. In both cases, this results in peculiar and funny artworks, impossible to imitate and, above all, that never point to an intrusive authorship, but rather touch it subtly and always gratefully.

Ohio #13 shows in particular archive materials from scientific tests of laboratories of different research institutes, such as scenes and original photographs of models of submarines and spaceships.

Admission is free, but due to the limited number of seats, reservations are appreciated.

• In the Woods the Waterfall is Rushing is the first solo show in Italy by the artistic duo TILO & TONI. For the occasion the latest series of works is presented: Im Walde rauscht der Wasserfall, composed of unique pieces of baryta prints, created with an experimental mix of techniques, through the direct intervention of the artists in the darkroom.

• Ohio Photomagazine, published for the first time in 1995, is an art project in the form of a magazine and an exhibition space dedicated to photography and video. The editors / curators are Uschi Huber and Jörg Paul Janka, two artists from Cologne and Düsseldorf. Hans-Peter Feldmann and Stefan Schneider are also co-founders of the project. Deviating from the typical format of photographic magazines, Ohio Photomagazine was published on paper, as a video compilation, on DVD or VHS, or in the form of loose prints.
